Roofing in Stanley, Overland Park KS
If a storm's come through, our roofer will take a look and tell you what's wrong, and what isn't.

A settlement that became a suburb in 1985
Stanley began as its own community in 1866 and stayed one for well over a century. Overland Park annexed it on May 8, 1985, taking in roughly eight square miles and about a thousand residents, and the subdivisions that most people picture when they hear the name weren't built until after that.
The old Stanley post office stood at 15119 Metcalf, went by the name Shawnee Mission, and closed on January 5, 1973. The name outlasted the building, and people still use it for this corner of the city.

Post-1985 roofs reaching their second covering
Roof age is the practical difference between this side of Overland Park and the older half that's north of I-435.
- ·Most roofs here are on a first or second covering
- Housing that went up from the mid-1980s onward hasn't been through the repeated tear-offs the postwar north side has. That usually makes the choice between repair and replacement a clearer one.
- ·Storms are on the Johnson County record
- Hail and wind here are recorded county-wide, and hail bruises far more often than it punches through. A roof can look untouched from the driveway and open up over the following seasons.
- ·Newer doesn't mean exempt
- A twenty-year-old roof's still losing pipe boots and flashing seals before it loses shingles. Those are repairs rather than replacements, provided somebody actually gets up there to look.
If your roof has life left in it, you'll hear that, and the estimate puts it in writing.
